Baits are grouped into three main categories hard baits, wire baits and soft baits. Hard baits include crank baits, minnows, topwater, muskie.

Ever bass fisherman should have a buzzbait in the tackle box, the more buzzbaits the better! They are a definate attention getter for agressive territorial bass. They come in several styles, I put four pictures here for you as a reference to what people are talking about when they say I caught this bass on a buzz bait. What makes a buzz bait distinctive from a plain old lure are how the spoon(s) or prop blade. When passing through the water the flash of the spoon or prop and the squeak the buzz bait makes atracts the fish. They can be fished with a weedless hooks as well a treble hook.
